During spring break (March 5th - 11th) this semester,
the Law Christian Fellowship (LCF) at the University of
Virginia sponsored a work week with Sandtown Habitat for
Humanity and New Song Urban Ministries in Baltimore,
Maryland. Participating University of Virginia graduate
students looked forward to serving
Sandtown residents,
assisting Habitat in their inspiring mission and
learning more about the Christian Community Development
movement. LCF's intention was to build relationships
among participating students, but the experience would
also give participants awareness and eagerness for the
potential for service in impoverished inner-city
communities.
